Aston Martin has seized the spotlight as the official safety car for Formula 1, celebrating its return to the racing scene after a 60-year hiatus. This prestigious role has birthed the Aston Martin Vantage F1 Edition, a dynamic road-legal powerhouse crafted under the guidance of Aston’s new chief, Tobias Moers.
The Vantage F1 Edition, echoing its Formula 1 counterpart, packs a potent punch with a 535PS (393kW) 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Accelerating from 0 to 62mph in just 3.6 seconds, it achieves a top speed of 195mph in coupe form, making it the most powerful in the Vantage lineup.
Structurally enhanced for agility, the F1 Edition features upgraded dampers, increased-rate springs, and distinctive 21-inch wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zeros. A comprehensive aero kit, including a rear wing and other elements, generates 200kg of additional downforce at top speed.
The F1 Edition is readily available, starting from £142,000. Orders are open, and deliveries are set for May.
Tobias Moers, Aston Martin’s CEO, emphasizes the F1 Edition’s genuine performance improvements without sacrificing on-road capabilities. As Aston Martin reenters Formula 1, the Vantage F1 Edition stands as a testament to the brand’s dedication to delivering exceptional driving experiences.
