The 1998 Belgian Grand Prix was a super exciting race at Spa-Francorchamps. It had rain, car crashes, and a surprising win for Jordan Grand Prix, a team that usually didn’t win. The race started with a big crash involving 13 cars. The rain made things hard, and it felt like a wild ride in the Ardennes Forest.
Michael Schumacher crashed into David Coulthard, and it caused a big argument. Schumacher thought Coulthard did it on purpose. The race got even more intense.
With only eight cars left, Jordan Grand Prix, a team that hadn’t won in 125 races, got a 1st and 2nd place. Damon Hill, one of their drivers, followed team rules and won the race, making it a special moment for Jordan.
Schumacher was very mad, and there was another crash. In the last laps, Damon Hill had to race hard to keep his lead, but the team’s plan made Jordan the winner.
The 1998 Belgian Grand Prix was like a crazy rollercoaster with rain, crashes, and a big surprise from Jordan Grand Prix. It shows that in racing, anything can happen, and sometimes the less expected team can be the hero.
