The Reims-Gueux circuit, was a striking triangular track located west of Reims (France), between Thillois and Gueux villages. Spanning 7.8 kilometers, it utilized two departmental roads and a section of national road 31.
Inaugurated in 1926 for the second Grand Prix de la Marne, won by François “Lescot,” the circuit witnessed major events, including the 1938 Grand Prix de France and the first official Formula 1 race in 1950.
Featuring three long straight lines and three notable turns – Gueux, La Garenne, and La Bonne Rencontre – racing teams aimed for high-speed battles.In 1952, modifications bypassing Gueux village and adding an extension were made. Despite challenges, the circuit hosted memorable events until its 1972 closure due to financial issues, leaving a lasting legacy in French motorsport history.
